A few facts about the planet Uranus

             

• Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun.
• It has the third largest planetary radius and fourth-largest planetary mass in the Solar system.
• Uranus is similar in composition to Neptune.
• For this reason scientists often classify Uranus and Neptune as "ice giants" to distinguish them from the other giant planets.
• It is the coldest planet in the solar system
• The interior of Uranus is mainly composed of ices and rock.
• Uranus was discovered in 13th March  1781.
• Uranus is named after Ouranos, the Greek god of sky.
• Uranus has a ring like Saturn.
• Uranus is the coldest planet because of its orbit. Periodically it goes far from Neptune thus recording the coldest temperatures.
